We're always seeking to improve what we can offer our customers. We began with our "Help Me Decide" form to give customers direct feedback regarding the best vacuum suited for their homes. We continued by offering 24 hour\day customer sales\service... even on weekends. We now introduce Streaming Video of both our Miele and Lindhaus products so you can see them for yourselves.

Streaming Video... what is it?

Ours is certainly a visual culture... One approach that has been gathering support on the world wide web is streaming video. Simply stated, streaming video is a method of transmitting movies of any length over the Internet in real-time without any delays. In order for the information to be transmitted in a reasonable amount of time, it must be compressed to a fraction of its original size. It's usually standard practice to produce streaming video for delivery over the Internet at standard 28.8 modem speed since most users are connected at this speed or greater. It is possible, however to also prepare alternate video clips which are of higher video and audio quality, but to view these clips you'll need a higher speed connection such as a Cable Modem, T1 or ADSL. This "broad bandwidth" access to the Internet greatly enhances the viewing experience by offering richer content. It will soon be the norm but, until then, all our video clips are offered to you at 3 different connection speeds.

How can I watch these movies?

Very easily. The most common player to view streaming video is the RealPlayer 8 by Real Audio. It's free and available at www.real.com. Click on "RealPlayer 8 Basic is our free player" and download the free player. By the way, a great source of Internet Streaming video and audio is www.broadcast.com as well as popular news sites such as www.cnn.com.
